Employees working in safety-sensitive functions for the transportation industry are subject to federal drug and alcohol use and testing regulations, under the federal Department of Transportation (DOT) rules Part 40. Any employee who violates these regulations may not be returned to any safety-sensitive functions in the transportation industry until the individual successfully completes the SAP and return-to-duty process.

The licensed clinician responsible for overseeing this process is a Substance Abuse Professional or an SAP. Our clinician has met the necessary standards and requirements established by DOT. The SAP links the organization's DER, the employee, and the professional providing the recommended course of education and/or treatment. Our initial and final assessments are $700.00 each. Please call us at 757-379-5278 to begin the process. You may also reach us by e-mail at support@palmettocognitivesolutions.com.
